the main issue with OF videos is that a high percentage is crap stuff like 10 seconds of a nipple or similar. The reason why I request for previews is because I think many people could not really be interested in such stuff and don't want to use their premium bandwidth (or even the free downloading) to download such content. In other words, previews allow people to know what they are downloading and that is especially useful when we talk about OF content.
I am not a fan of it, but exclusively for OF content you can upload previews as an imagehosting gallery and then share the gallery link, that's a better option (in my opinion) than uploading them on a filehosting service
