Notes: On 18 CDs (yes, eighteen!) you'll find all the A and B sides of all the Pink Floyd singles, all the promo, edited, obscured, or remixed versions, and all the soundtracks bits of your favorite Pink Floyd and solo tracks. Basically, this collection includes (nearly) all songs officially released, but not on regular album (compilations, singles, promos, soundtracks...), as well as rare versions from acetates and studio outtakes. We didn't consider live tracks (concerts, radio or TV appearances), unless they're part of a single or a promo single. We also left out of this scope the Syd Barrett solo rarities, because it mainly consists in slightly different mixes of regular versions (we'd like to let a more hardcore fan than we are, doing the job). Some other things are not included, mainly because they could be treed separately, as a whole entity: "Live At Pompeii" and "The Wall" soundtracks, mono editions of albums ("The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn", "A Saucerful Of Secrets"), quadraphonic editions of albums ("Atom Heart Mother", "The Dark Side Of The Moon", "Wish You Were Here")... There are in fact 17 audio CDs and one data CD. This latter CD contains all the artworks and booklets (with all you ever dreamt to know about each track of each CD!), and some bonus files (that we hope you'll enjoy) while keeping the secret about their contents. We tried to make the most definitive Pink Floyd rarities compilation, in both completeness and sound quality.

Parlophone Records (BMG in the US) will continue their reissues series of the IRON MAIDEN catalogue with The Studio Collection – Remastered, covering the band’s sixteen-strong studio albums across their career to date.

Following on from 2014/2017’s black vinyl releases and 2015’s Mastered for iTunes project, The Studio Collection – Remastered will be released on the Digipak CD format, with the track listing matching the original UK releases. The recordings are taken from the same remasters as the 2015 hi-res digital releases. The albums will be released chronologically in batches of four, across a nine month period superseding the previously available studio catalogue and all titles will also be made available on streaming platforms. As a bonus for collectors, one CD from each batch of releases will also be optionally available in a specially artworked box featuring a 1:24 scale figurine and exclusive patch. In the November 16th batch, this will be The Number Of The Beast.

Maiden founder member and bassist Steve Harris says, “We’ve wanted to revisit these for a long time and I was delighted with the remastering we did in 2015. I thought it was the best that our albums have ever sounded and it was only right that we made them available on CD now too.”

So tweeted Iggy Pop upon hearing the news of David Bowie s death in January 2016. Iggy and Bowie had been friends since 1971 when the pair met, a period of excess when we were all pretty bad but he was at least viable . Bowie would then invite him to travel along as a fly on the wall on the tour following the release of Station to Station. Then came Berlin, The Idiot and Lust For Life, and the legendary tour during which David played keyboards while the Ig performed manically centre stage. This triple disc box set explores and celebrates the unique relationship between this pair of extraordinary show men and features the full recording from the aforementioned tour when Iggy performed at Ohio s Agora Ballroom, with Bowie in tow on the keys, a further show from the same tour at Chicago s Mantra Studios, and a third disc of interviews during which they not only sing high praise about each other, but join forces in one notable session when the results are as anarchic and hilarious as one might imagine. Beautifully packaged and completed with the collector in mind, this box set will delight fans of both these maverick performers and provides a tasteful memento of one of the most enduring and genuine friendships ever developed under the guise of Rock n Roll.
