Here's a couple of the ones that I find useful. If you guys have any more suggestions, feel free to share.

AdBlockPlus - Removes all advertising. Make sure you add a list to this one

NoScript - Only allow scripts on sites you trust

Add to Search Bar 2.0 - Allows you to add any engine to your search bar.. Including Kitty-Kats's search

Greasemonkey - Changes the way that web pages are displayed on your browser
**I use the "W.A.R. Links Checker" script to avoid wasting my time clicking on dead links.**

DownThemAll - A handy downloader tool that I use.. Some people use JDownloader, but I'm too lazy to try that one out.

Forgot one:

ImageHost Grabber - Just another one of those tools that gets all the images posted on a page.

Thanks for the additions q3forever. Could you add a link to their downloads page and tell us what the FlashGot add-on does?

uBlock Origin -> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
Finally, an efficient blocker. Easy on CPU and memory. An efficient blocker: easy on memory and CPU footprint, and yet can load and enforce thousands more filters than other popular blockers out there.

Illustrated overview of its efficiency: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/uBlock-vs.-ABP:-efficiency-compared

Usage: The big power button in the popup is to permanently disable/enable uBlock Origin for the current web site. It applies to the current web site only, it is not a global power button.

***

Flexible, it's more than an "ad blocker": it can also read and create filters from hosts files.

Out of the box, these lists of filters are loaded and enforced:

- EasyList
- Peter Lowe’s Ad server list
- EasyPrivacy
- Malware domains

More lists are available for you to select if you wish:

- Fanboy’s Enhanced Tracking List
- Dan Pollock’s hosts file
- hpHosts’s Ad and tracking servers
- MVPS HOSTS
- Spam404
- And many others

Of course, the more filters enabled, the higher the memory footprint. Yet, even after adding Fanboy's two extra lists, hpHosts’s Ad and tracking servers, uBlock Origin still has a lower memory footprint than other very popular blockers out there.

Also, be aware that selecting some of these extra lists may lead to higher likelihood of web site breakage -- especially those lists which are normally used as hosts file.

***

Without the preset lists of filters, this extension is nothing. So if ever you really do want to contribute something, think about the people working hard to maintain the filter lists you are using, which were made available to use by all for free.

***

Free.

The best youtube downloader... AND it can download full HD videos (1080p, even 4000p), unlike most other downloaders. Convert audio track from videos to MP3 or WAV, or save audio track in native format (Ogg Vorbis, AAC/M4A, MP3).
It actually downloads the video & audio separately, then will quickly mux them together. If you ever need to download from youtube, try it!
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/complete-youtube-saver/

Also, Redirect Bypasser... great to bypass redirects on image & file links:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/redirectbypasser

Also, 2 great Greasemonkey scripts:
Adsbypasser lite... skips most of those adf.ly-like countdown links:
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/4882-adsbypasserlite

Handy Image... bypasses many image host ads, popups, etc.
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/109-handy-image

Lastly, if you don't like how firefox has been changing (bloated, etc), try Pale Moon. It's an open-source fork of Firefox, which is much lighter & efficient. It's a quick transition (surprised me how fast), with tools to import extensions, bookmarks, settings, etc from Firefox.

AdBlock Plus is a resource hog and slows down Firefox. Ublock Origin is the truth. Ever since I switched FF is great again. NoScript is mandatory for me.

Any recommendations for an image saver that allows me to specify naming (with old FF I had date, time etc as a prefix, and could also set a keyboard shortcut – Bazzacuda). The new Bazzacudy doesn't seem to allow this level of custimization.

Here there are 2 addons I am often using.

Night Mode Eye Guard
For those of you who prefer dark themes since white ones can be hard for the eyes by night. This one works with latest Firefox. It's not perfect but it works.

Snap Links
Select multiple links (using mouse), checkboxes and other elements and act on them such as open them in new tabs or check/un-check them.
"Quick Tutorial: Once installed, "lasso" links on a page by holding right-click and dragging around links, let go to open them in new tabs. "
