It follows on the success of Deep Throat. It has the dubious distinction of depicting more sex acts per minute than any such feature to date. The comic story which distinguishes the film revolves around a pornography Academy Award, and the shooting of the film which wins the award. This film features cameos by Screw magazine publisher Al Goldstein, and producer Jim Buckley.
The movie should not to be confused with the 1937 feature comedy with the same name starring Richard Dix and Fay Wray.'

If imdb's 1970 date is correct, then the 1978 French release had added footage used as flashbacks, as one of these features Brigitte Lahaie, Maude Carolle, XNK0102, Guy Royer and Richard Lemieuvre in a longer, but soft, version of a clip also used in the Italian release of Exhibition.
there are these two main characters (photographer and model) roaming around in Africa, and every now and then we suddenly have a scene with Lahaie and chums - Richard Lemieuvre even wears his red and black striped bathrobe which I have seen in some of his later films.

The film tells the story of the "Clinique Montretout " (show it all clinic), already used in Les pipes de Madame Saint-Claude (for which the VEF thread disappeared). In that clinic the therapy consists in watching porn movies. This is of course very convenient for Michel Caputo to re-use scenes from other movies like Exigences tres speciales and Plaisirs sodomites pour salopes inassouvies (= Fessees intimes or Delicieuses fessees). So, Infirmieres du plaisirs is NOT the same film as Exigences tres speciales (please read the different comments post in that thread) and/or Fessees intimes, it only uses footage from those films. "Le Dictionnaire" is not sure if the French film was released in theatres only the Italian version was for sure.

Jacques lives with his girlfriend (Liliane Lemieuvre) and her sister (Frederique - Cathy Stewart) lives with them. The film opens with his coming home from work at night. He seems to be an airline pilot. He encounters Frederique who is still up. He tells her to go to bed and joins his sleeping girlfriend who wakes up and starts making love to him once he is asleep. Next door, the young sister listens to what's going on and it obviously turns her on.
The next morning, while her sister is in the kitchen, Frederique joins Jacques in his bedroom and makes it clear she wants more than just family bonds. But things won't go further than a blowjob as the sister comes back and prepares herself for the day. He tells her he's got an appointment in the afternoon, but we understand he's going to see the sister who happens not to have school that day.
So they are off to a nice lover's day in Paris. The season is obviously winter, but this doesn't prevent them from making love in a park (near Le Palais de Chaillot as far as I can see).
Later his girlfriend starts another sex session in the bedroom but Frederique is watching behind the door and Jacques cuts the scene short. Too tired, he says.
The love affair between Jacques and Frederique has been going on for a few days when one night the elder sister - and soon former girlfriend - welcomes them coldly as she has now understood everything. But friends have shown up and the time is ripe for a nice cosy evening with Carmelo, Suzanne, Michel, Claire, Myriam, Mario and Richard. Carmelo starts his gay/transvestite routine which will end with him being sodomised by Mario while the others are busy. All the others? No, for Frederique seeing Jacques with Suzanne has left.
After the party he realises she's gone. He then momentarily tries to find solace in Myriam's mouth but Frederique has left his life empty. He realises he shouldn't have allowed Frederique to witness the orgy.
Both start strolling in Paris to bring back memories until they see one another on a bridge behind the Cathedrale Notre-dame and fall in one another's arms.
Love is there again and... Back to bed!

A man is walking along the Champ de Mars and the Trocadero in Paris. He and his wife (off-voices) tell about their poor life as a couple. He is impotent and she spends her time looking for adventure. She sees her lover in hotels or on a barge on the river Seine. She is seen with two men in the country, with a female partner by a path. Coming home late she says she was lost in the woods. The husband's off-voice says that he is perfectly aware of this all and actually manipulates his wife to get her to make love where HE wants her to. Comment: Reviewed as a poorly-edited film whose scenes were probably shot at the same time as another film (Pensionnaires tres expertes) released the previous year. The off-voices were obviouly used to give sense (unsuccessfully though) to the disparate scenes.

Leo picks up Fritzi in the town of Vergeze in France. He is going to Spain; she isn't going anywhere in particular. He takes her to his villa and they become lovers. At a restaurant they encounter a group of hippies, led by a guru figure Ziggi, who attach themselves to Leo and Fritzi. One of the women, Gaby, is the girlfriend of Walter, but is very promiscuous and asks Fritzi if she can borrow her boyfriend. Leo begins to ignore Fritzi and concentrate on Gaby; so, after finding Ziggi in a closet wanking off to a magazine and 'giving him a hand', Fritzi turns to Walter. The second time they have sex it is in public in the audience to a bullfight. Fritzi then has a lesbian encounter with Gaby which turns into a threesome with Walter. Then Fritzi has an argument with Leo and leaves, hitching a ride again.
In the group at the restaurant there are four other women. A blonde, barely seen, and a redhead, XNK0467, take no further part. An older, short-haired blonde (XNK0466) and a brunette (XNK0465) are seen at the villa and at the bullfight, but only have bit parts. There are various extras at the bullfight including two woman who comment to each other at the antics of Walter and Fritzi. I presume XNK465 and XNK466 are two of the other three females credited, but it is unclear which.

Cathy Stewart is definitely present and may be credited as Antonia. A Julie Bouche is listed on imdb, but not credited. Is this Cathy Stewart? Catherine Castel must be the blonde in the red dress who is at the party the whole time (Karine Gambier arriving later, also in a red dress), but it is far from her usual look.
A masked burglar (Rachel Mhas) roams the house in search of papers while Alban has sex with Carole Gire. The burglar spies on them and masturbates. She finds the papers, but is discovered and flees into the woods.
Later the burglar gatecrashes a cocktail party at the house, drugs the drinks, and turns it into an orgy so that she can steal from the guests. But she is spottd in the act of spiking the drinks by one of the guests, who keeps his mouth shut until later.

Next morning she spies on her maid (brunette) having sex in the kitchen with a curly-haired Jean-Louis Vattier. That night she goes out again in her fur coat and, it is implied (we don't see it), visits strip joints and the like.
It seems she has been spotted by someone with a Polaroid camera and a man visits her next day and blackmails her into various sexual encounters - sex with Richard Lemieuvre and a black girl; watching a fight between a brunette (probably Cathy Stewart) and a blonde, followed by a brief appearance by Desir Bastareaud, while sitting with Carmelo Petix who then gets a bj from one of the participants (the blonde); visiting a dinner party and turning it into an orgy by stripping off and masturbating in front of the guests (Dominique Aveline, Richard Lemieuvre, Morgane, Celine Gallone, Cathy Stewart and others).
Her husband arrives in the middle of this and is mobbed but refuses to join in and then we seem him alone in a room with a gun while his wife revels in the revels.
